This privacy notice applies to personal data collected through the contact form on dogukanatalay.com.
1. Data controller
For the purposes of Türkiye’s Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), the data controller is Doğukan Atalay.
2. Personal data processed
When you use the contact form, your name, email address, optional phone number, subject and message content are processed. Your IP address and browser/user-agent information may also be stored as technical records to help secure the form and prevent misuse.
3. Purposes of processing
- Receiving, reviewing and responding to your contact request,
- Communicating with you about translation, localization or MTPE work you ask about,
- Maintaining the security of communication records and the website and preventing misuse,
- Keeping records where necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a legal right.
4. Collection method and legal basis
Your personal data is collected electronically when you complete and submit the contact form and through the technical records generated during submission. Depending on the nature of your request, processing may rely on the conditions set out in Article 5(2) of the KVKK, including where processing is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract, is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right, or is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed.
5. Transfers of personal data
Your personal data is not transferred to third parties for marketing purposes. Hosting and email infrastructure providers used to operate the website and deliver form messages may have access to data to the extent required to provide those technical services. Data may also be disclosed to legally authorized public authorities where disclosure is required to comply with a legal obligation.
6. Your rights under the KVKK
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you may ask whether your personal data is processed, request information about processing, learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose, learn the third parties to whom data is transferred, request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, request deletion or destruction where the applicable conditions are met, request notification of such actions to third parties to whom the data was transferred, object to a result arising against you through analysis exclusively by automated systems, and claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.
